Default Gearing setup?

Hey all,
Could use your help on a quick question.
I have two truggies, one being a rc-monster converted CRT X2 and the other a Losi 8ight-t 2.0 with the tekno v3 conversion.

I'm trying to find a spur and pinion match to gear me for around 40 mph.
I've been trying to use the rc speed calculator, but don't know the diff ratios of the trucks, so that's holding me up.

The Losi has a Tekin RX8/ 1900kv setup on 4S with standard truggy tires.
The CRT X2 has a Castle MMM/ 1800kv setup on 4S with the same tires.

For the Losi I was thinking around a 50s/ 17p setup.
For the CRT X2 maybe a 46s/ 20p (that's what I have on hand).

Do those sound within reason or totally off the mark?
Thanks

The 8ight-t 2 diff ratio is 4.3 (just look at the parts list on the Losi site)

Post in the vehicle specific thread and you'll get a faster response. The admins also like to keep the thread count down and all the info in one place so it's easy to find. btw this is an awesome bunch of gearing info here http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/ca...ear_ratios.pdf
