Most durable 1:8 buggy for bashing

IMO AE plastics will wear faster than mugen, xray or serpent
the durango is very strong too, I'm racing a DNX408 and never had a single issue

Actually my Revo runs 4S. We simply don't have anyplace big enough and flat enough to drive a big monster truck on 6S. That, and I don't feel like rebuiding my diffs every time I puncht he throttle.
That's precisely one of the reasons I want to get a buggy and drive it on 6S - it will feel different enough after the Revo, and I won't need to fear for my diffs. I may even do some speed runs on asphalt and grass (if I find any ).
Anyway, DEX408 currently has an edge over RC8.2e because of Durango's symmetrical battery trays. I figure that on a car where the batteries are located on one side only, 6S will cause some major balance issues.
Are there any other 1:8 e-buggies with similar battery tray design?

So unless I've somehow missed a kit, it's down to either Durango DEX408 or Serpent 811-Be 2.0. Those two are the only kits I could find that a symmetrical battery tray design which would allow me to run 6S without completely screwing up weight balance.

my dnx408 has been as strong as my previous xray, never had a problem with its durability

I'm actually out of ideas now. It appears that none of the 1:8 cars can fit 2x3S packs and still maintain any semblance of balance
I'd actually have to go with 4S if I wanted to bash any of the cars mentioned in this thread, but my dignity would never allow anything other than 6S
It almost looks like I'll have to get a 1:8 truggy with a Tekno V4 instead to accommodate 160mm+ batteries.

truggy is the best choice for bashing IMO

That's what I figured from the very beginning, yet I still resisted the voice of rason because I wanted something radically different from my Revo.
My truggy options seem to be limited to those for which Tekno have made a conversion kit, and which are for sale on AMain:
Mugen MBX-6TR: looks all kinds of awesome, and is relatively new, but I'm afraid that carbon fiber will break fast after I crash the car a few times.
Associated RC8T: AE is AE, but I am still wary of purchasing an almost 4 year old kit.
Losi 8ight-T 2.0: Also very old, and quite honestly, all my experience with Losi's vehicles so far (LST2 and 5ive-T) has been negative. I like my screws metric, thankyouverymuch!
And neither Serpent S811T-TE nor Durango DNX408T appear to have a brushless conversion.

I've learned through personal (and rather costly) experience, that a car that weighs 500g more on one side will fly like crap, and land even worse. That is all the more relevant considering I tend to do dozens of 20-30 foot jumps in one session.
The Serpent Electric truggy conversion kit is announced, but not released. And as far as I can tell, it uses the same plastic battery clamps I hate so much because they effectively limit my choice of batteries to "ROAR approved" hardcases.
