Default Difference Between Tekin T8 Buggy and Truggy

Hey guys just wondering what the difference is between the T8 buggy and truggy motors, and if it would be ok to put a buggy motor in a truggy?

The truggy motor is a longer can.

I had both and the buggy is a bit lighter and feels smoother. It has less bottom end and snap, the motor response is more progressive. I liked to use the buggy motor on slippery tracks and the truggy motor on high grip (astroturf) on my buggy. The truggy motor can also be a help if you need more weight on one side to have a balanced car.

Finally it depends on the heat. You generate less heat with a longer can (truggy motor) so sometimes it could be an issue to run a buggy motor on a truggy

And here is a thread about your particular question, I never owned a truggy

As mentioned, the truggy motors are longer and have more low end torque.

You can get away with the Truggy motors in a buggy. Would I recommend it? Probably not. 1/8 electric is already very powerful, it's only going to make it more difficult to control the buggy.

I would not recommend running a buggy motor in a truggy, however.

I'd either get a motor for each, or if anything, run the Truggy motor in both. It will be safer.
