Default Slash 4x4 handling issue - tail bounce?

I have been practicing in our backyard short track, which is plywood ramps, with a well-worn, thinly grassed, hard pack lawn. I am planning on signing up for my first event at the local track in a couple of weeks. I am very happy with the way my driving is evolving and I really enjoy the Slash. The one issue that I can't seem to nail down, is its tendency to tail-bounce after a hard landing. Sometimes it bounces so high that it pulls a 180 tail spin. The only way I can settle it, is to throttle up mid-air and force a tail first landing.

I am running a box stock Slash Ultimate original version (non LCG), with the longer proline wide track control arms.

I tried setting up the suspension with the Slayden setup sheets, and then I tried adding heavier fluids to the rear shocks. I can't get it to settle a landing well. Could it be tire rebound, if there is such a thing?

Put stiffer springs in, or install pistons with less or smaller holes.

Or you have air in the shocks.

Thanks, I'll try harder springs, and take some rebound out. I did build them with some rebound. Maybe I left some air in there.
