I know it sucks Dax especially for those of us who have been in the sport a long time.

I think anyone who sent LRP anything during the Ssx v2 board blowup/replacement periods got hosed. They messed up and knew it. They were Incredibly swamped for probably a whole year or more with returns/repairs and such.

Can't say I blame ya tho, if I feel a company in anyway treats me poorly, I stop buying their stuff.

Received speed controls today. LRP updated esc's per the original plan. Everything is good.

Next time, I will give a follow up call after I mail them in and everything will go smoother.

ALOT of it is my fault for waiting so long to give them a call.

I had a rotor fail in my x12 8.5 motor, there service was bad, not only did it take weeks to reply, but the replacement cost went from 1/2 retail to 1/2 msrp, there is no way I'm sending it in paying $75 plus shipping both ways for another motor when I can get a gen2 for the same and get replies the same day... I guess as long as there product sells, why improve there service...

So now that everything is resolved... would you still never buy from them again?

I think they have the best esc on the market. I will keep buying their speed controls. They made it right with me.

The trick is to give them a call a week or 2 after you send it in.

They updated a few of my sxx and tested a few of my spheres and TC's for me.

No charge and they made me an offer to upgrade some really old esc's that I had for 109.00.

Im happy with that.

That's the trick right there!!! Give them a call about a week after you send it!!! It gets it in their hands and less likely they'll toss it back in the pile.

What some people need to realize is(not you Dax, these newer folks) that they aren't sitting in a chair with nothing to do waiting on your repair only.

Be proactive and give em a call! Follow up on your stuff. I'll say this once for the newer generation: EMAILS ALONE ARE USELESS! Call someone, human contact and a good attitude goes a long way!

Met a German chap a while back who was racing in the 90's (in Germany). He said that the Kiel guy (AE importer at the time) was very helpful and would go out of his way to do what he could and the head of LRP was a total %^&^% and wouldn't help his mum cross the road..... apparently most of the racers couldn't be bothered with LRP because of it and bought off Kiel instead.

LRPs cs probably get orders from the top....
