I would say right now, if we see a real growth in 4wd Electric buggy, the natural progression would be to 4wd truck. Thing is we need to see more 4wd offerings in reasonable price ranges with ability later to upgrade.
If you really want a 4wd truck, you can pickup the HPI RS4MT but I believe that is discontinued, but it does go pretty cheap on ebay.
You could also make your own 4wd truck. The Academy SB buggy when you put some of the parts on from the RT4-GP truck can be made into a stadium truck. You can also fudge it and put on traxxas hex style rear rims on both the front and rear and give it a truck like appearence.

I was close to doing it, but it was cost prohibitive once you got all the goodies on there.
Maybe in the future I will try it again. When you get pics, post them to www.rc10b4.com as well.

cost prohibitive how? the pro is 250..and you should have extra motors, speed control, and receiver by now. just need to make a new chassis

The chassis by its nature is shorter than a standard 4wd buggy chassis. If you entend the chassis, you will need to look into the upper decks ( probably 1 long one for maximum rigidness ), possibly the drive shaft, etc.
My idea for the conversion wasn't going to be that involved, just the obvious part change over.
If you have the ability to make chassis and upper decks for reasonable prices, I know of a group of SB owners who would like to get there hands on them.
