Hi Guy’s

Thinking of up dating my battery charger very soon.

Which charger are you guys using or which one would be one of the best out there.
It would be great if i can get one that charges multiple battery's as in 4.

Thanks for your advice and knowledge....

I personally really like the Hitec X4. Capable of balance charging 4 lipos at once. Hasn't failed me yet.

There are 3 different models. I use the X4-80 as I have a power supply. If you do not have a power supply, I would recommend the X4-plus.

If cost is no issue I'd go for a I-charger 4010 duo and a efuel 24v 60amp power supply, with mine and 2 paraboards I can charge 8 2s packs at 2c and its large screen makes it so easy to use, it also has an awesome function to bring back dead lipos and it will give you individual internal resistance figures.....

I like the Turnigy 400w chargers.

Suspiciously similar to my Hyperions.

Best? Powerlab6 charger with MPA.

If you need more than 1000w, PL8... not unless you need to charge multiple 6s packs though. PL6 is plenty.
Hyperion duo is also a very good charger.

You will find that you don't need to charge multiple packs at once though if you have a strong charger.

Paraboards will work with all balance chargers but if your charger is only 10 amps then if you charge 4 2s packs your only charging at 2.5 amps per pack and you may aswell charge 1 pack at 2c if its 5000mah, that's where the extra power comes in, Icharger 4010 duo can charge at 40amps per side and really speed up your charging times.

Hyperion duo is also a very good charger but limited to 2 packs.

This is correct, pl series are very powerful but only 1 output, so your stuck charging 1 voltage at a time, there also not as easy read as they have a small screen, but if you only have 1 type of packs the pl with a mpa will charge 6 packs at once.

Also in my opinion it's safer to charge say 3 batteries using 30 amps (2s 5000mah) for example making it 2c, then charging 1 battery at 25amps (2s 5000mah) at 5c as the packs will stay cooler and accept more charge, it will also last longer in the long run, also charging multiple packs with a paraboard will divide the resistance between them resulting in a better charge.

PL screen too small? I'm only 40 so my peepers still work well but if your eye sight is lacking you can always hook up your notebook and open up a new world of monitoring and logging during your charge

Also once you program your presets you can charge blindfolded.
