If you want to go fast without a lot of maintenance, try brushless. I have had a Novak SS5800 in my XXXT MF2 for about a year and it is the best thing I have done in a long time. I use regular 3300 nimh batteries, but be on the look out for LiPoly packs soon.

The SS5800 is fast but you could go with the more powerful combos from www.starluckrc.com

If you were to get a brushless system.Get the Lehner 4200 and the MGM 80A ESC.A lot more torque but around the same top speed as the Novak SS5800 on 6 cells but the MGM 80 will let you run up to 10 cells.

www.rc-monster.com sells this combo for around $220
