Is this a known weak point of 3.0e or that is just my bad driving?

If there is an upgrade on any broken part on any of my cars I do it. I've never broken one of these but I have a replacement for this but not an upgrade.

Guys I am looking for steel spur gear for 8ight 3.0e but it must be a hardened steel. Is there one out there and if so what is a part number?

I still would stay with the tried and true. They are easier to fix than a diff or something like that. I've never stripped one. But it's your car, hope it works out for you

Last year I raced with a steel spur on my RC8.2e and had no single issue. This year I switched to Losi with stock spur gear. For 5 racing weekends everything was perfect and yesterday I stripped it in a final race. Nobody knew the reason, everything was in place, no loose parts etc. Lost a chance for 2nd place. So thanks but no more plastic spur gears for me.

That's up to you. You might strengthen a weak point (spur) and find another weak point like a diff or something, that's all I'm saying.

Is your motor and pinion gear thread locked? I stripped one out a few weeks ago because I forgot to thread lock the motor and a 12 foot high jump usually gets some good chassis slap.....lol

Yeah, everything what should be was thread locked, some guys on the track said that propably something got stuck between the gears. Buggy was prepared excellent, double cheked everything before the event, like I always do...
Had some luck with steel spur last year so I'll go that way.

Hi does anyone know what hop ups would be needed for the rtr version and any major differences between the kit and rtr that I should keep in mind apart from chassis/shocktowers? Thanks.

Hinge pins holders and shock cups, towers and chasis are ok for starters.

Default 8ight E 2.0

Hey guys.
I have an 8ight E 2.0
Couldn't find the thread for this particular vehicle.
Hopefully I can get some info here.

I have the +2MM chassis.
It has pads on the droop screw area.
I thought I read somewhere to grind these pads off for more ride height?
The 8ight E 3.0 I noticed doesn't have the pads on the chassis.

Is this an up grade I can do for more ride height or are my shocks not long enough to get any more travel? Maybe have to go to the 16 MM shocks?

Thanks.
Tom
