My track is med to low bite. I run 5-7-3 and I think that is the best setup.

5-7-5 works best for me, like said before, it depends of your driving style.

2200kv is a bit of overkill, BUT...... It fly's....
I've programmed back the throttle and it's still a rocket.
Beauty of the Hobbywing kit is that you get the program card included, and it's sensored.
(Power wise it craps on my HPI Trophy Flux Truggy.)

I'm having temp issues with my Tekin 1900Kv motor in my 8ight E 3.0. The drivetrain appears to spin freely, no binding and it's easy to spin. I went down a tooth on the pinion last weekend and temps went up. Went from a 16T to a 15T pinion. Temp outside was about the same both weekends. I'm running my current limiter at 40. The track is normally very loose because of dust. Any ideas?

And I run no timing 35 current with a 16 pinion but adjust the EPA to 95 most of the time

I was running warm also but I use a lot of brake and pump the brake on the radio like an anti lock brake. I removed the radio box and used the servo mount like the scte 2.0 . The receiver and transponder mount to the side and that will give you room to mount a fan. It fits between the front diff upright and mudguard, just need a little shoe glue. Also trim the back of the body to let more air flow thru. The fan blows air under, down the side and across the top.

if you go for a bigger pinion you will actually have more wheel spin.
bigger pinion = less torque = less wheel spin
