It may be our track but hard on the throttle it starts to plane on top of the dirt. Had to go with 4 To get it to dig.

If it's working for ya, that's awesome!! Our tracks getting pretty hard pack but the racing line cleans off and usually had decent grip.

Is everyone shimming their rear differential/bearing inserts as the manual states? I am building my second e 3.0 kit and it came with waaaayyyy more shims compared to when I bought one last December.

I have one on the front gear side and one on each side of the rear. At least till its freed up some. Only got around 12 packs on it right now and still snug.

BTW I am running 573 but tomorrow at practice I am going to try 575. Just for the heck of it. Then I am going to try 572 this weekend. Hopefully I can make up my mind which I like best before I invest in some heavy duty diffs.

Good deal. I tried all three and ended up with 573. I liked the 572 better than the 575 but our tracks have a total different bite from one another.


I just finished my other build and installed all AVID bearings from the get-go and ended up with two small black rubber shielded flanged bearings left over. Looks like the Ackerman bearings. I'm wondering if AVID supplies 4 of those because of the TLR kit containing two ackermans.

There was another guy at the track with a 3.0 and he still had everything in the stock position and was running the brass weight in his. I didn't get a chance to see how his was doing or ask him what he thought of it before he left.

i tried 555, 575, 572,573 775, 773 and i found 772 works the best for me..

It's not a must do option but when I was running a truggy motor in my 2.0 I ran these. I am picking some up today. Mainly I like these in the center.
