TLR 8IGHT E 3.0 THREAD
#31
I see that everyone is liking it alot. But, is it worth the 700 for kit plus 80 for conversion.. Almost 800 on just the stock kit. Is it worth it or is another kit better for the price?

I had the same thought. If you have the cash and like to experiment, more power to you. For me, I can't drop 800 on a roller at the drop of a hat. That's what's keeping me out of the 8ight 3.0 and the MBX7e derby. Unless they are $300 better than my ECO, I'm going to stick with it.

Gens Ace are priced well and they have tons of power. However, it's hit or miss with them. You might get a lemon that lasts 3 months or you might not. Promatchracing.com has some good lipos at a good price and they are pretty reliable. SMC is also a good brand, I hear.

Those of you that have the 3.0 e.. Is it worth the money or no?

I have to be totally honest here.....
No. The new losi 3.0 is not worth it in my honest opinion. For the money that Losi is charging you can buy a Mugen MBX7 or a Tekno EB48 for way less money and the quality is by far better than Losi. Don't get me wrong here, this is a nice buggy, even better than the 2.0, but for the money there are better options out there than this kit for sure.
