Is the 2.0 E still a good car for someone getting started in 1/8 buggies? I have a SCTE 2.0 and I found a deal for a new in box 2.0 E for $200. Then build it out...still a nice buggy for the money?

Yes it is a very capable buggy especially for only $200

Default No chassis protection sheet?

Now I realize this may seem a bit ridiculous for the 8ighth scale platform before asking this, but as I'm buttoning down all of my lightweight, piston, and spring options for my new 3.0; I'm wondering where's the 3.0 protective sheet that we've come to see from all of the recent releases under the TLR brand? Heck the 22-4 has a sku for it and it's not even out yet and it's a buggy! I'm coming from the SCTE v1 and v2 trucks and use the sheets on both. I'm sure TLR is hoping for a higher adoption rate of the 3.0 and it will likely come from hobbyists like myself. In my experience and now preference is to use them. Cleaning is easier, screws backing out are minimized, and overall wear is reduced. It may be a hassle for the nitro 3.0 and as that's the roots of this platform is why we probably haven't seen one out after so many months from the initial 3.0 launch. But to the PMs at TLR I hope that I've made a decent use case and ask you to reconsider. I'll take 2 lol.

So I pulled the trigger on a used 8 2.0 Euro E conversion for $475. It has Tekin T8 1900 and RX8. Two batteries, radio and ready to go.

I know most of you probably owned a 2.0 before going to the 3.0. What are the common TLR upgrades and what is a good setup sheet to emulate here on hot florida outdoor tracks with big jumps, some loose sand in the corners and hard pack underneath?

Sorry this in the 3.0 thread but I looked for a 2.0 thread for 20mins and nothing. I want to get the car set up just right before putting it under the xmas tree

Im running a 2.0 against all 3.0's and have no prob beating or losing to them. lol. I was wanting a new one bad, but Im killing it with the 2.0 and will keep it going just because.

I have a 2.0e buggy and I am looking to upgrade to a 3.0. Is the 3.0e basically the same as a 3.0 nitro converted to a 3.0e like it was with the 2.0?

No the chassis layout is completly different. Center diff moved slightly, Battery on the chassis, ESC on the chassis, Servo mount updated. Chassis is narrower. Not the same at all.

Doesn't even handle the same. Completely different in all aspects I feel. Since I've had/have both cars

Ok, for you guys that have ran shortys and brick packs indoors can you please share you experience with them. Did you like the way the buggy handled with one over the other and if so why? Also for those of you running shortys where do you like to place the battery. I noticed with the shortys that if you run the pack up front it leaves a lot of empty space at the back of the tray and seems like the front to rear weight balance would be thrown off. Thanks.
