Default last years 3.0 and this years 3.0

I have just priced a new Losi 3.0 electric rtr. Just wondering if anybody knows if there is a huge difference from last years to this years.

I have a couple of questions for you TLR guys:
What are the differences in the nitro vs electric shock towers?
Any one prefer the nitro version converted vs the 3.0e?
Is there a draw back on having a converted nitro?
Thanks,
E

The rear tower I remember is different. I think the front is the same. Just different camber holes.

The Electric chassis layout is different and more narrow then using the nitro chassis and a conversion kit. The electric car was optimized for the battery/motor layout.

Don't know if new kits are different but both front and rear towers are different between flashlight and nitro versions.

Front tower has same camber link locations. The electric tower just has on extra outer hole. The rear electric has more camber links location up and down where the nitro just has put out and in camber link adjustments. I would have to say the electric specific car is better. I would suggest running the battery and esc in reverse orientation from stock.

If I can pull 10min on it with no warm up, will be good to use in 6min qualifies.

Default Build question.

I was wondering if someone could take a look at the attached picture and let me know what is suppose to hold LOSA3502 in place? I could probably tell if I had the parts in front of me but I'm just going through the manual since I'm going to be building this soon.

Thanks!

Nothing. It just sits on the shaft. Also don't use the metal shims 3501.
