I am running a 5000 mah SMC 4s, 50c on a tekin 2050. It has been a great pack with plenty of juice for 10 minute mains. I have absolutely no problem clearing any of the jumps with the 2050 with room to spare most of the time.

I'm also running a gens ace 5000 mah 40 c 4s. Good battery for the money.

Also the weight difference between the gens ace and the trak power is around 100grams.
Most all battery company's list weights.

If so what weight parameters should I stay in if I'm running the set up you mentioned?
I use Thunder Power's 5300/65C 4S (Novak 1900, 14 pinion) and run 15 minute mains on a medium outdoor track. 10 minutes would be no problem, even with some warm up laps.

How do you guys like the Tekin 2050 in your 3.0 E? What is your gearing? I am going to be running the same motor in mine.

I see this battery also comes in 80C discharge rate. Will that make a difference on the car performance or affect the run time?

The 2050 set at it's lowest is still too much motor.... get a 1900 Unless you drive on a Monster track

It's pretty big...

I bought the buggy used and it came with the 2050. I have a 1800 in my 8ight-t I could try in my buggy if the 2050 is too much.

Anyone how important is the discharge rate C? How high a rating do I actually need? Does this affect how long the battery last?

Most likely it's just oil from putting the cap on. After filling and putting the cap on spray it off with motor spray and see if it still collects dirt on them.
