GEKKO is a shaft driven, mid motor buggy designed and constructed in Austria. It will participate in some races all over Austria and will have an appearence at the European Championships in France this year.
Mass production (to a certain amount of course) is likely if the GEKKO lives up to the team's expectations.

If this vehicle uses parts from Losi and AE, seems to be the formula that works best to get more acceptance in the market if your vehicle is not distributed by someone big.

looks like you could swap in a center diff like a 1/8th scale buggy, and the steering rack on the same angle as the front rake for zero bump-steer. and the motor endbell towards the front for increased cooling, very nice. I agree that this car has very nice potential.

agreed on increased cooling, but for a V2 tech motor on certain tracks better do the tricks so it doesn't gum up.

I look forward to seeing if this vehicle makes it to the states.

Scrubb; a center diff would be possible, but unfortunately, what works with 1/8th doesn't neccessarily do well with 1/10th and vice versa.
In fact, a car equipped with a front one way won't gain any advantage with a center diff, except that it adds rotating mass where it's worst: in the primary (fast spinning) drive train.

How similar is this car to the newest Durango 4wd? I noticed that the photo's of the new durango seems to have it a lot narrower than the previous ones.

I like the idea of using AE and Losi parts, but the BJ has had issues with the front arms. The front arms just don't hold up well when racing 4wd mod. The BJ is now offering delrin front arms which are beefed up andd from what I've heard, they are trying for a better solution. I would be good to learn from their mistakes (or weekness).

Not sure how much more beneficial the BJs delrin arms are as I heard they break as well. Did read something somewhere about part of the reason could be the alloy bulkhead or whatever as it doesn't have any give in a crash.
