Best short course truck for bashing?
Hi,
I already have a monster truck and a buggy. Now I want a short course. I also live in a place where there is no dirt, earth, sand or grass, only rocks. We don't have any tracks either, so I'm looking for a truck that can take a beating. Preferably several beatings before it breaks. The toughest truck possible. I don't care about handling and I won't be racing it. I just want it to look like a short course truck and not break the first time I crash it into a rock.
Suggestions?

Depending on your driving style either slash 2wd or 4wd and upgrade rpm, trx, strc, tekno driveshaft kit, etc. and you have a nearly bulletproof basher, if money isn't an issue get the slash PE or ultimate seeing that it has needed upgrades right off the back for durability and a + is the LCG chassis

Too slow, gimmicky and technical. I want a fast RC car, not one that crawls.
I was looking at Slash 4x4 PE the other day. The only thing that put me off is the LCG chassis. The way I see it, I need a car with a higher ground clearance for bashing, not lower like the one that comes with Slash PE...

If you get the stuff for the sc10 from rpm you can make your car unbreakable. The arms and front bumper i have used have never broke or given me any sort of problem!

My first choice would be a Slash either 2wd or 4wd depending on your budget.
My very last choice would be a Losi...... too fragile for bashing...... pretty good for racing tho.

It's 8th scale, so its a little bigger than the rest, it's tough as nails, and it has a roll cage.

You hear bashing and everyone jumps on the "Slash with RPM stuff". Doesn't that defeat the purpose of buying cheap, having to buy your truck then UPGRADE everything. Of course it's durable, you've bought 2 trucks.
In 2wd, you can't go wrong with any of them. The Blitz, XXX-SCT, SC10 and slash are all on equal levels OUT OF THE BOX. Of course if you add RPM stuff etc etc to ANY OF THEM, they'll increase their durability. So get the one that you like best.
4wd. I've owned slashes, sc104x4, hyper 10sc, jammin scrt10, SCTE and a converted Caster Fusion ex-1. I'd recommend the SC104x4 or an 1/8th scale ebuggy. You can throw a 550 4 pole in and 1/8th scale ebuggy (remove all unneeded stuff) and have a pretty powerful machine that won't break.
