1/8 buggy tire choices
I have got my first 1/8 buggy and man did I get a heck of a deal . With the fully loaded RC8.2e I acquired 17full sets of tires and a few pair of oddballs. Lol
I race on 3 different tracks (or will be )
1 is a loomy, very spungy when u walk on it .
2nd is a looms very hard packs track usually very dry.
3rd is a I door clay track is is cool and moist shoes just about come off walking acrost it .
Not looking for exact tires to use just a tread profile and overall firmness of the tire/insert setup.
This is my selection I want to choose from I have $800 worth almost refuse to go out and buy more when I have tons to choose from . Tks for the help guys

From your list...
Track 1:
Not really sure,
Maybe try the calibers, double dee's, or crosshairs
Track 2
Komodo Dragons all around
Bow tie rear crime fighter front
Boas rear and gators front
Track 3
small pins all the way here
Switches
taper pins
It would get you a place to start at least!

Kool tks for the info .
I ran green compound double dees and city blocks at track 1 on my 4wd SC . But its 1/2 the weight as this thing .
Being a softer ground seems like a hard tire with fewer large pins would be good only to dig into the ground instead of only contacting the surface with softer tires

True . But having come from on road just trying to have a idea in mind .
I mean I would think a hard large cleated tire would work better on a soft loomy track
And a soft med cleated tire on a hard packed loomy track
And soft furry tire on a sticky (clay track)
Any truth to this ?

I ran some green doubleDs at thunder on my sc and it was hooked as well . Had a few areas I was traction rolling.
Tho barcodes seems to be a little more forgiving .
Sean's is my main concern tho . Really like racing there . Everyone is laid back and having a good time . Plus its at night which helps me with the heat and my setup with moist track

i have never raced at seans track my guess would be its similar to milan as far as surface but thats a complete guess. You should come to Mayfield and race There are always 1/8 scale ebuggies there. I built one toward the end of last year so I will be running one at both Milan and Mayfield.
