Vatarra Twin Hammers
#4
Oh no not a "twink hammer"! LOL
Now the Twin Hammers looks to be a promising rig. I like the idea of a rock racer type vehicle. Something you can crawl with and still run at a decent speed.

The Two Speed and 4 Link make me want one soooo bad! I need a good "play" truck

It's "Vaterra", not "vetarra". And I totally want one too.

Our local track is already discussing a race class for it similar to the King of the Hammers race. It would use our short course track and part of the crawler course that's next to it. Should be a good time. Several of us have pre-ordered these things.

Definitely post some reviews once y'all get some runtime on them.

Drove a Twin Hammers today for a couple minutes, cool car. But that battery is pretty small and when a brushless system goes in MAH may be a challenge, it does look like a shorty pack fits sideways. But that whole articulating thing is sweet, it crawls right up vertical stuff and has a nice looking ride, jumps ok too.

Instead of a 2 speed tranny it should have come w/ a dig.

Maybe not, the 2 speed thing works, gives low range climbing ability with high range speed. One trannie set with dig would not be able to do that. You would have dig on a high geared trannie which would make it harder to scale anything.
It is a rock racer not a crawler, even so you can put the front tire up against a wall and it crawls right up.

I like the concept. I have an Axial Wraith and an EXO and sometimes I think about crunching them up together.
