So when you guys are talking about the bump steer...its how the servo arm is attatched to the ackerman arm?
#6243
usually you would notice a change in toe as the suspension go from full droop
to fully compressed sometimes you can see the change in toe the idea is to keep the steering the same throughout the range of chassis movement.
so the truck stays more predictable when going over bumps and around corners.
at least that's how I see it.
someone else could probably explain it better.
#6244
Thanks..i get that...but when you set the bump steer on the truck...how do you do it?
#6246
Yup...saw that pic...what does it mean ball up and ball down? I know i know i'm a little slow
#6247
it is different on each end there is a ball with a raised flat spot on it.
if you take the ball out (losb2187) and put it on the bench it can either be
ball up flat side down
or
ball down flat side up.
look at it and think about it get it you will get it.
if you go back a page to that pic you can see its ball up
and the flat spot is at the spacer.
good luck

AHHH...got it!!!

Anyone ever have "crunchy" feeling in their diff after building it?
I have torn it down and rechecked everything and it is assembled correctly.
It almost seems as if the diff case is too short and it is jamming the orbital gears up. If I loosen the cover screws up a bit it is smooth but of course then all of the diff fluid will leak out.
Will the gears perhaps free up after use or should I double the gasket to gain more clearance?

Like I said I'm still building mine and this is what I'm doing, hopefully someone else can chime in if is is correct
B-10 in he build manual shows a good pic of it you see the gear in the housing pull it out a bit before setting LOSA6293

Have the front diff crunchy and the rear diff like butter
Will run it first and see if it is better

Love this truck!
I almost had 3rd place locked up behind 2 pro drivers today, made a stupid decision to air out huge double which parachuted me when the wind blew and sent me tumbling and lost my esc for a few seconds. Cost me 2 positions but still got 5th in the A.
