They should tighten all the way flush with the aluminum shock body if they're on correctly. It's tough because they were molded a little too tight. If the shock is binding, however, I'm guessing maybe you haven't loaded the spacer and/or o-ring in the bottom of the shock correctly. Mine bottom shock caps were tight going on, but the shocks were smooth as could be once all assembled. You might also want to check that the pistons can spin freely on the shock shaft. This can be accomplished by tightening the locknut all the way, and then backing it off just a fraction of a turn. You should be able to turn the piston easily with your fingers if done properly.

Replacement rear bumper mounts or just the complete rear bumper for the 2.0, does rpm make one that'll work?

I asked about why guys use the 22 horn on the 1.0 SCTE tread and did not get a answer for some reason.
So why do some guys run the 22 Alum servo horn on the SCTE ?

Just allows the piston to rotate to the path of least resistance, if necessary. Ever notice when building shocks (before you put the oil in) that the movement of the piston inside the shock body can have more or less friction based on how you rotate the shock shaft? That's why I leave the pistons slightly loose so they can rotate if necessary. Could be nonsense, but it seems to make sense to me.

Almost all the aluminum horns I have seen used on the scte have been the losi ones originally made for the 8ight series like this one.

Oh yea i did use the Losi Alum horn but the teeth on it got striped . So i been using a Racers Edge horn i did try out the inside hole on it but the ball cup on the steering turnbuckle was binding with the servo case. Yea i could get a Losi Alum horn again and try the inside hole.
So do you know why some guys used the 22 Alum horn is it for a more linear feel ?

Painted my body today. Turned out fair. I started using liquid mask and it gets a little easier everytime I use it. This is my third body with it so far. Mine will be ready to go as soon as my rx8 comes in from horizon. They have been on back order for a while now.
