The lower caps are plastic and yes, you will mar them some by screwing them on but that does not affect performance at all as long as you dont crush them so bad you ruin the center hole. We have fixed the tool and new caps should be here shortly for all that want them. you can contact CS but I would wait until these corrected units come in.

If you grab the lower cap after it is threaded on by hand as far as you can get it on the lip that the shock boot normally goes over and hold straight, you can use a shock cap and the top cap tool and slowly thread the bottom cap up all the way. this is all explained in the build tips.
\Yes I understand, so what is the schlock extended measurement? Or 2 turns out front and 1 turn rear. Not using any droop screws.

are the 1.0 and 2.0 arms the same? if so does that mean the RPM arms will work on the scte 2.0?

The way Ryan explained this back on the SCTE thread is, fully thread the shock eyelet to the shock shaft, then back it out 1-2 full turns or .6-1.2mm.

Still waiting on confirmation regarding the turnbuckle length and their relationship to toe/camber measurement reference in the manual setup sheet. It's starting to sound like they are not the same....thanks!

Yes they are the same, ergo the RPM will too.

Just set the steering links the same length put them on the car and adjust both sides the same until you get the toe in you desire. Camber links just make sure you have the same amount of thread showing on each side and adjust on the car as well.

Kind of silly for a race truck. The TLR arms are very good and stiff and they don't break.

Bad words for any of these?
I am hearing through the grapevine that we should see something end of this month, beginning of next...on the HD's

Well this is only my 2nd rc and maybe I'm just used to the slash a-arms, I don't know how durable the stock scte ones will be but I'll take your word for it we'll see what happens

I already said it. I don't know why anyone would put suspension arms that bend like wet noodles on their race truck.

Nothing against RPM - I use their rear bumper mount - which is very breakable BTW.
