For about $250.00 I can update my truck to the 2.0. I already have MIP which I love, so I may just update the towers and stick with MIP. We will see.

This tread is almost as contentious as the D3.5 thread!!! Love it!

Looks like a great new truck kit from TLR. Already go mine ordered through my LHS!!! I'm very stoked about it. Read the manual and everything! C'mon march!!!

Body mounts are still in the same location? Sweeeeeeeet...

No upgrade on the plastics???? Not as sweeeeeeet because the tranny boxes strip out and it's a PITA to replace on the fly. Carry long screws.

Buy the RPM rear bumper mount. Works great. Just the mount - not the whole ugly ass RPM rear bumper.

How many of these guys seriously thought a TLR truck would be the same price as the Losi 1.0?

I was thinking recently about the fact that not a whole lot of my MIP converted truck is still stock. So, just for grins, I ran up a spreadsheet based on just buying a MIP kit, KH motor mounts, Tekno shafts, Avid bearings, etc. along with just the Losi parts required to complete the truck. To my surprise it quickly added up to over a grand. I think the 2.0 is a value by almost any standard.
Sort of apples and oranges comparison. KH mounts, Tekno shafts, avid bearings are not on the 2.0 or MIP, and would be an added cost on top of either version's price tag.

what about 2 upgrade kits, sell out the current stock of TLR tuning kits and then start selling them with the new shock towers. Then sell an "upgrade" kit with everything but the towers and the parts from the other upgrade kits. That way, if i have a stock V1, i can buy both kits and be at 2.0. If i have a stock with the tuning kit, i can buy the upgrade kit and just be short the towers.

Bummer - just checked the manual - no factory 2-hole pistons yet?!

I'm gonna try and keep My current one ,and go for a fresh truck ,and get to build it! My current set up is very dialed as well, would make a great back up and wanting to be able to feel a difference between the two would be Key.

Btw, Tekno owners know that they paid $399 and have a ton of plastic in their trucks..the chassis will need to upgraded, the shock towers will eventually bend, servo horn is toast in one run, and plastic hinge pin holders will need to be replaced. Then the body and wheels.......

Also, I typically know the track where the promo videos are shot, but not for the SCTE 2.0. I'm so curious.. what track was the promo video shot at?

Yup Revelation Raceway. Home track to guys like Adam Drake.

That looks like the current track layout. They must have been the only ones at the track since they are driving some sections in reverse. You should check it out. 4wd SC is a blast there

The mounts are the same but they are offset from the tower a little to clear the new additional shock mount holes on the tower.
