Casper, as far as you know, will both the new center dogbone drive system and the new 22 shock conversion kit be a direct fit for the original SCTE? Will the new shock setup you mentioned still apply given the fact that the 1.0 truck has more forward weight bias? I just want to make sure I have full compatibility with the new parts on my old truck.

The center drive shaft stuff is advertised to work on both the STD chassis and the -3. Being the 2.0 just swapped the front and rear drive shaft in moving the center diff I would have to assume they work on the 1.0 but I don't know that for fact as I have not tried it. Ryan is out of town but maybe Frank will pipe in.

The shocks will work on any version of the SCTE. Now your shock setup might be different (oil/pistons/springs) but the shocks will go on and have the same benefit of smoother operation and lower CG.

Well I'll tell ya about it. It hasn't been widely publicized quite yet, but it will be very soon. The trigger is a housing that clamps a thin 4mm radial bearing that has a 20mm ID. It uses different sized medium density inner bearing"race rings" that can be utilized as is or lightly modified to a persons specific feel preference.
No more need for option parts sold separately for highend radios or lanky or cumbersome add-ons for other stock existing triggers.
With the bearing utilized, it has an infinite adjust-ability this way for width or inner hole size and can use any material that one may want to make or use besides the standard included foam. This obviously rids any slop between the brake and pull side of the trigger and provides a much truer linear draw or push by staying tight to your finger without the drag felt by typical non-ergonomic designs. The bearing gives the whole deal much less felt resistance for improved accuracy and feel.
They will be built for the high and medium class radio systems such as for Futaba, Spektrum and Airtronics. They will be a direct replacement and drop in part of the stock trigger it's self with no need to modify anything physically or electronically. The company name is Perfect Z-RO Precision, or PZP.
The trigger is named the ZRO trigger.

considering of picking one up with carbonfiber chassis and MIP centerdrive shafts, for $350. Is that worth it?

Probably not. a new kit is only about 100-150 more.

Thanks

These setups are typically developed indoor in So Cal so temps don't vary widely for us. I would say 70-80 range. We don't vary the setup much if at all indoor. Outdoor we will go up about 5wt all around if it is hot outside and or blue groove (very high grip). For you guys that racing in the very cold you can adjust from there but call this a "room temp" setup for those of you who run in cooler conditions. (or hotter)

Casper or Ryan
With the shock conversion would you still keep the "HIGH BITE" set up basically the same or what would you change besides springs, oil and pistons?

You can run your same setup (obviously you need to find springs that are similar but they are out there). Or you can try our new 5 hole piston setup. That can be used with the stock shocks as well since the pistons fit both shock bodies.
