Not sure why, but my experience was that the inner balls of the camber links (the ones on the shock towers) wear faster than the outer ones. I replaced the inner ones with the equivalent parts from a Losi 8ight 2.0 and they are lasting a long time.

For the price, ProTek servos are really nice.

Out of curiosity, how much does your 2.0 weigh, minus battery and tires?

Is there any real advantage in running the RPM front bumper on this over the stock one does it protect it any better or is it any stronger?

No take it off or any skid plates as the reduce your ground clearance.

I currently run both the RPM front bumper and rear skid plate, and I understand that they both take away from ground clearance, but should the truck really be getting that close to the ground for them to matter I mean both are only an 1/8th inch or less in thickness. Let me say that I'm not questioning your comment just trying to understand and I like specific reasons as it helps me understand why something is done the way it is.

I've wondered this as well.

1/8" is 3mm. The difference in handling between running your truck at 25mm versus 28mm is noticeable.

I understand that, and since it is a flat chassis, I have been setting my ride height to the center chassis right behind the front bumper and in front of the rear skid plate to what I have been running 26mm. so at that I am actually at 23mm with the 3mm of clearance loss.

Correct. And when you're driving around the track the bottom of the chassis is too low. The skid plates are hitting the ground and making your truck unsettled. Or they are hitting the ground on the face of the jump and causing nose up or (usually) nose down jumping. The bottom of the chassis should be smooth to allow the truck to slide when it hits. The chassis is a wear item like tires. If you're running skid plates or anything that hangs below the chassis you're hurting the handling of your truck. If it's worth it to you to save $ on chassis replacement then all good. The guys that are looking for the best performance are willing to make the trade off.

Even racing on abrasive outdoor tracks it takes a long time to wear out a chassis to where it affects performance. $100 every year or two is a drop in the bucket in the big picture.

True, and thank you, and maddog for the explanations, I just don't like just doing something because someone says without understanding why. Both will be coming off before the next race. Also I know it's here somewhere but could not find it, is there a set of sway bars I can buy without modifications to set it up like the new Dunford setup.
