Lol. Please don't think I'm a Tekno only fan as I've owned just about every sct, buggy and truggy made. I actually plan to pick up one of the new scte 2.0's when they are in stock.

Horizon shows a "fast" delivery for 3/1 ... but man is even the cost price steep.

So I'm not gonna lie, i did not ready through all the pages... but from the gist of it this would be a better purchase than getting a roller 1.0 and doing some mods / TLR upgrades?

I would be coming from a hopped up Jammin scrt10 so i should have all the electronics and what not... I am just getting frustrated with some of hte weak spots of the jammin ...

If you don't already have a SCTE, then yes the 2.0 is the way to go. But for the guy you just got a 1.0, he would probably be better off just upgrading his 1.0. Or you could always have a back up...

Yes, espcially if you already have the electrics...Keep in mind the 1.0 was $300 as roller(roughly) and with a chassis alone you would be at $400....

Chassis Call-Out

1. 3mm HARD-ANODIZED, 7075 Machined-Aluminum Chassis Plate $100 roughly
2. Heavy-duty 4mm tie rods with captured ends
3. HARD-Anodized aluminum threaded shocks - $30.set
4. Updated front and rear carbon fiber shock towers - Tuning kit $100 minus hubs
5. Updated motor and center diff placement
6. Performance battery mounting system
7. Updated diff cases - $7 per diff
8. Two complete wheel sets - $20 per set of 4
9. 12mm aluminum wheel hexes - $10ish
10. Hi-performance body $30
11. Ti-Nitride shock shafts and hinge pins - $50
12. Hard-Anodized Aluminm, Adjustable pivots - Tuning Kit
13. Aluminum bleeder shock caps - Tuning Kit
14. ALUMINUM CHASSIS BRACES

So as you can see the price is well worth the updated version....and i still didnt price some stuff

haha, why would I do that... for some reason the lines of the tekno do not appeal to me. Maybe it's the body they used in their product pics. The losi is pure sex, and ive only owned AE and Jammin SCTs

Thanks for spec'ing that out... now I think if my recent mods to the SCRT10 don't hold up I will be seriously considering the upgrade. Hey I could probabaly get $120-$150 for my SCRT10 roller no?

LOL , that is a vid showing the movement of the inside wheel at full lock , not to show play in the steering system ...

There is VERY(almost none) little play/slop in the Tekno chassis .....

Never judge a chassis by the body. It's funny but even serious racers do it.

Those electronics should work perfectly in the scte 2.0 truck. Just gear for the best temps along with having enough speed to clear all the jumps on your track. The Castle 4 pole 3800kv is a strong little motor but there are better choices out now and you wouldn't have any issue with selling the Castle since it's highly favored by tons of people for all types of vehicles from bashing to racing.etc..

A couple of the most popular motors are the Tekin Pro-4 4600kv and the Hobbywing 4700kv. They both make massive power for such a small motor and when geared correctly you would have zero issues keeping up with any other sct motor out there basically. I recently picked up a Viper Copperhead system that comes with a 4 pole 4500kv motor and that is also a beast of a motor. It runs at a good temp, makes great power and is a smooth setup to be unsensored.

nice, is the Pro-4 a better motor than the longer SC 4x that tekin makes?
