That is a sick lid. Almost a shame to race with it.

It's Tels shells, he does shells for a few top drivers over here like Neil Cragg, Craig Drescher and he also does shells for RRCI magazine

He has no website or FB page at the mo, but his email is

Telsshells@gmail.com

Enjoy the Ryan Dunford setup for indoor clay. Outside with dusty/clay my rear end has a mind of its own. Using M3 Holeshots with red AKA foam

What do you suggest

M3 hole shots with Red AKA does not sound like a good combo for tires?

I would think that would be too hard a tire (foam wise).

So you are saying you have too much steering. Is it look on power or off power or both?

When outdoor season came around, outdoors my truck was all over the place with that set up...I left the shocks alone, but i changed my diffs to a 5-5-3.....big difference...My truck is pretty planted now. The track i race on is a pretty blown out loose surface most of the time, not clay...I have been running m4 blockades on the back and they have been great

The stock PL foams are softer and should be better suited.

Anyone have any issues with the Tekno front and rear driveshafts?
I picked up a set a while ago for a song, I never had any issues with the stockers, just felt the deal was too good to pass up.

Last weekend, I put my truck down for the main, did half a lap to check in, right after I crossed the loop, front driveshaft came off...
Luckily I was early getting on the track and my buddies had time to reattach it.
Regardless, my servo ended up dying on me just before I completed my first lap.

Last night, before I went to the track, I replaced my servo, pulled the front driveshaft off and Loc-Tite'd it and for whatever stupid reason... I never checked the set screw on the rear shaft...
Mind you, these parts were installed maybe a month or 6 weeks ago, I used Loctite when I initially installed them.

Last night, I TQ'd and was leading the main, about 2 minutes into an 8 min main, my truck felt weird, like I was losing power, I was thinking great... brand new battery already dumping out... then, I went to make a turn, and there was nothing.
Truck was dead.
A buddy picked it up and tried to turn it back on, he checked my battery connections and did the finger across the throat motion. Dead.
I came off the stand, pulled the body and my negative battery lead was flopping around with the bullet still in the pack.
Laying on the chassis in the rear was my rear driveshaft.

We figured the load from it running in front wheel drive caused it to heat up too much and thats what unsoldered the battery connection.
The track was definitely slick and there was a ton of wheel spin.

2 weeks in a row, and 2 DNF's while leading the mains.
Time to tear it all down and go through it again.
I just did it a week before I went to AMS...

Sorry for the ramble, back to the issue, am I the only one having problem with the Tekno driveshafts?!?

The Tekno's definitely wear longer than the stockers. I have not had any issues with mine. Sounds like you have been driving it a while with them. Did you clean any oil off the set screw before putting the initial thread lock on it?

I feel like a moron now because I never thought to clean the setscrew first.
I just pulled them out of the package and installed them.
Thanks for the tip!
