Yes the HD diff cases with the 2.0 truck mold the metal insert into the cap and case. This eliminates a leak path as well as reduces wobble. Also they use a thicker gasket which seals better as well. Very minor tweaks but they solve some of the very few complaints about the 1.0 truck. The HD diff cases can be used on any of the Ten series vehicles so they are interchangable.

Default Outdoor track loamy setup help.

Hi Guys

Im brand new to the short course world and I am having my first crack with the SCTE 2.0

I have been doing plenty of research in this thread and on the Losi website but im still not quite finding what im looking for.

Our local track is outdoors with the majority of it hard packed but can be very dusty and completely loose in some sections. There is only a few small jumps as well.

Chasing a good setup if anyone else runs on anything similar.

Cheers
Boothy

I would start with the latest Dunford setup found at www.casper-rc.com

Get the right tires for your track and you should be close and can tweak the setup from there. Yes this setup is listed as indoor clay but this is our general setup we start with unless we go high traction blue groove/sugar.

Looking for an "under body" for my 2.0 Something to keep the dirt out of the electronics. Is there anything like that on the market?

This is for the 1.0 but could probably still work

Some minor mods but you could try and hunt down an 810 body and put that under your SCT body.

Funny you should mention that. What I was picturing in my head looked alot like a 1/8 scale body...

Default New to the 2.0 Kit

Absolutly love the 2.0. The build was beginner friendly and simple.
I have only one concern (May just ne me BUT) I found the TRL 2.0 screw had a very shallow head and made from soft material. I'm really enjoying racing this scte at my local club.

My 2.0 is the Green rc in themiddle of the pic

Can you post the blue groove setup? Thanks!

What is the trick to get full steering to the left? Full right the wheel makes contact with the arm, full left and the wheel is about 1/8th or so away from the arm. Notes: I have reset all links for 0 degree toe, started with the ackerman in neutral, servo horn is as close to center and adjusted with sub trim. It almost looks like the rod end on the servo link hits the ackerman at full turn but can't see any witness marks on it. What am I missing...

Your steering links are the same length?

You will need to adjust your end points on your radio to make sure you get full throw in both directions but you always want your steering links the same length.
