Theres a way to run the 2.0 8 shocks with the stock scte shock towers. I believe you limit the droop to 89 front and 101 rear. Also if using the standard standoffs you need to space it out so the shock cap isnt touching the tower or option 2 is use the 2.0 8 standoffs and drill out the shock tower to receive them.

New wider hexes for the SCTE. These are only for the rear. The front is already at max width. Also be careful if you run run more then 3 deg of rear toe. Just another tuning option. We have been shimming or running these on the latest Dunford setup at www.casper-rc.com

Sweet. Hey Casper I put the tlr3100 in w two shims on each side. Good place to start? It's smooth on ring and pinion.

On the setup sheet. What are witness marks? That puzzles me.

Thanks

One reason for me is because I don't have to run an 1/8 esc. And like Dakotah said the turbo and boost settings in the Orion are awesome. With the 4.5T I am usually geared 12 or 13/40. But usually I just adjust my boost/turbo in the esc. I ran the Pro4 4600 for a while and bought the 4300HD and ran it for 1 race and sold it. To me, those motors are just way to much UNUSABLE power in these trucks. Where as the 2 pole is just as fast, but the power coming on throttle is extremely smooth. I run against Pro4 4300HD's on a regular basis and never get out motored. And I have yet to find a jump on a track that I am unable to do with the 4.5T. The biggest reason I run the 2-pole is that it seems to be so much easier on batteries. No more worrying if you will make the main with enough battery, nor have I puffed a single pack since going to the 2-pole. I always said if I ever felt as if I got beat because of running a 2-pole motor I would go back to the 4-poles. But in all honesty, I don't ever see that becoming a problem. The biggest test for me came at the CRCRC Winter Midwest Champs a couple weeks ago. I was able to TQ Matt Olson and run a faster lap overall throughout the weekend. The mains were a different story with me choking, but overall I did not feel as though I was at a disadvantage to Olson.
I was thinking about trying the new speed passion blaze 5700kv in my truck. any advice on gearing compared to the 4pole setups?

and wanted to say whats up to everyone else in the thread. I have 2 scte/mip trucks on the way. hopefully they work out and I can hang out around here a while

Where are you putting the .5mm spacer on the rear hubs. I thought I read somewhere to shim between hub, outer bearing and the cross pin. I put a .5mm clutch shim in there and it binds? I'm running the aluminum rear hubs.

It goes between the bearing and the pin.

yes.. I use 3.0 shock... the cup use Tekno sct410, the spring use tekno spring R Black and F Pink. for the piston i made split hole... bigger hole. the oil f 32.5, R 27.5 AE oil shock

the reason using tekno cup, so i can choose a lot of spring in the market (diameter of spring is the same on each end point-eight spring has different diameter on each end point)

i am using 16mm shock because has the same reason with you... most of our track (indonesia) is for 1/8 buggy engine track..... and very rough track...

thx

Anyone have a good shock setup for 1/8 fairly rough tracks?

Right , so I put a .5mm clutch shim in, there is just not enough room. it binds up and won't spin freely by hand....
