I use drag brake on small high bite tracks but not outdoors. If the track doesn't have enough traction drag brake can cause off power push.

Default Pucks

Being in Canada and familiar with pucks... lol
The Mip shafts are Aluminum I believe, everyone seems to be happy with them on here so far.
Has anyone done enough laps to wear them out yet?
my concern is the aluminum standing up to long term use/abuse...
Temp here is -10F!!!! no R/C for us for a few months.
Hell its not even a guarantee that your car will start in this!
You guys in Cali have NO idea... might as well be in Alaska, but only 60 miles north of Buffalo.

Xxfile, there is racing in your "area". Apex Rc in Branford, west of Hamilton has a great indoor clay track and northern Rc in Barrie has a busy carpet off-road track! Yes it is cold up here but where there is a will...

Braderb....patience once you press the "post" button lol!

Default Slow Updates and Post

Been noticing lot of double post last 2 weeks. System slow to update screen. Can open another tab of the page you are posting to and it shows update right away while your post page looks like nothing is happening for a long time. Sometime it takes 5 minutes. Might be a system glitch or slow due to large number of post?

The Savox 1267 is a great servo as I run it in my Scte 2.0, 3.0E and 3 of them in my 3.0 nitro. Great quality, great price, and very reliable.

Any Losi 2.0 owners here that came from the Tekno?
Why did you switch and how has the Losi been compared to the Tekno?

I'm really on the fence with my Tekno right now... I had a Losi 1.0 and I would kill to have it back. The Tekno does not work for me and half the time I feel like I did when I started 3 years ago with my Slash... and the truck looks like it too.

thanks

I ran the 1.0 from when it came out until the tekno was available. Sold it and bought a tekno and raced it for 6 months. Tried every setup I could find, and it never felt as good to me as my hopped up 1.0
Eventually I found a decent setup of my own but the truck was good one day and crap the next. Coming from a 1.0 that I ran the same setup everywhere it got old. Also getting beat by guys that were slower than me with my 1.0 sucked and was frustrating. I tried everything, eb48 chassis, took weight off, just never felt comfortable with it for my driving style. Got a 2.0 when it came out and wished I had kept my 1.0. Didn't like the stock setup at all. Changed front springs and camber link locations and it felt at least as good as my 1.0. Now I run the Dunford setup from Casper rc website and love the truck. Better than my 1.0 and I'm super happy now. The truck is consistent and works everywhere. If you liked your 1.0 you'll love this truck.

I had the 1.0 and liked it then switched to the Tekno just to try something different. The Tekno is rock solid and better quality then the SCTE but I had problems with getting a good setup that I liked so I sold it and bought the 2.0 and have never looked back. I love my 2.0 but mine is all tricked out with bce chassis, mip puck system, Ti screw kit and mip turnbuckle links plus all other light weight option parts.

As what the other guys said, I could NOT get the Tekno to handle good. I had no support or help with setups, I was on an island. Now I run with a bunch of guys that run the 2.0 and we all help each other. Running the newer setup that Casper and Ryan run and the truck handles great everywhere. I picked up a second per lap with the 2.0 merely because I can drive it much harder with much more confidence.

We are fully aware of how spoiled we are to have such nice weather and all the great facilities we have here to race. We pay for it in housing prices though! That looks like a cool place to keep playing even if it is smaller scale stuff. Those are a ton of fun as well. You guys run Mini-8's on that track at all?
