Did someone figure a way to install the bottom shock caps without using a pair of vise grip pliers???

Mine were very hard to screw....
Yes I've found the best way to get them on (old and new cap versions) is with a 6 sided 12mm socket from my mechanics toolbox. 100% effective.

While stripped up caps on the shocks present a cosmetic problem, a created a functional solution by placing Team Associated boots over them. It looks great, fits perfect, and protects the shafts. Part ASC91070.

Ok I am having a little trouble. Not sure if it's normal I am running a tekin rx8 gen 2 and a tekin pro4 hd 4300kv with a 15 tooth pinion on my 2.0. And a 5000mah will not make it through main 6500mah will but barely is anyone else running this set up. If so what mah are you getting away with. 10min mains by the way. Now I was running same Esc with a tenshock 4600kv no issue using 5000mah. Just wanted to know if this is normal with this setup.

How much mah are you putting back in the battery after you charge? I am running a hobbywing sct-pro / 4700kv combo and use about 400-450mah per min of run time.

Yea i do hear that the 4300kv is a power hog which i would think would be the opposite compared to a Tenshock 4600kv like i run also which is acutally not a real battery hog if your not running timing/driving wise.

Ive ran 10 min mains a couple of times on a big outdoor track and its hard on them 2s lipos and just start to fade on power. But first thing i would do is just be smoother on the throttle and less input with the steering you should get enough runtime with the 6500mah on the 4300kv doing that. But look at the gearing also !

Yeah I put about 4800mah back into the 6500 after 10min so about 480 a min I thought this was a little much so I cut the current limit down to 55% but still put back about the same. I did slow down my driving and disconnected my ftw fan to be sure I made it through the main just was curious if I need to buy 6500 or 7200 any suggested lipos I have a maxamps 6500 but don't really want to drop $150 per lipo. Was looking at the cant lipos at dirt cheap Rc has any one used these

I recently purchased new lipos after running thunderpower packs fort he last 3 yrs. and the best bang for your buck is the SMC 7200 packs. They were at the bottom of my list but @ $65 per pack they are a steal and great performing packs. The others were revtech 7150 and trinity extreme sting 7200. In that order with the trinity pack performing the best. You can pick up 2 SMC packs for less than 1 trinity pack. Depends on your budget.

(Don't worry about the pre order. I order edit he same wayang d they were at my house within the week)

The VANT lipos are pretty good from Dirt Cheap R/C there around $55 but they had the most punch and less drop off i noticed. SPC are good also there on sale in the $40s there buildt like the SMC and no bullets. I been impressed by them.

No typo im just saying i race with two of them lipos and both actually do not have a big drop off on power during the race and after . I would say both had about the same punch rate.

Ones that do have a power drop off and punch are the G-Force lipos it seems like in the beginning cycles they good but after about 10 cycles or a little more they drop off. But you cant beat the price on them though !
