Any "MOD1" Pinion would be fine, and pick your number of teeth (14T, 15T) - Here's a list of them from Amain:

No need to change the spur.

I have tried the Novak, and the Robinson Racing, but I can't remember which one was quieter.

the link that you posted and it says here in your post...scroll down and you will see the COMBO's and the 4000 and 4700 are popular combos but you cant get it jsut as the ESC and card....has to be the ESC, CARD, and MOTOR!

Just click on the COMBO in blue and it will take you to the combo page

I saw those, but already have a motor so didn't want a complete combo. I'll just get the program box separately. Thanks guys.

buy the combo and sell the motor...i ran the 4700 motor for a short time and wanted the 4000 and sold the 4700 within the first day or 2 i had it listed.
But thats up to you...and if you can flip the full bill till you sell the motor but good luck!

I run the Orion 550 4.0T with an 11 pinion and 40T spur.
I don't run the software in blinky.

Thanks TCCustoms for the response. I can swing the full combo, but just don't want to lose any money if the motor doesn't sell well enough to cover the difference. Perhaps I could use the motor to upgrade my Traxxas Slash at a later time along with a better ESC anyway. Before I pull the trigger, does it matter if the SCT-PRO is not dual drive mode capable?

I appreciate all the help guys!

Dual drive...Is that sensored and non? If it is, then yes is works both ways and obviously the sensored is smoother since it knows the rotor location but its not a huge difference

To be clear, specifically the automatic switching.

The SCT Pro automatically switches from sensored to sensorless mode in the event there is a problem detecting the sensor signal (eg broken wire, loose plug etc), and it is instantaneous.

It doesn't support what Castle calls SMART Sense, which is starting up in sensored mode at low speeds, then switching to sensorless mode for high speeds, then switching back again.
