If you have a low voltage cut off turn it off and time your runs. I had the same problem with my orion. My throttle no longer cuts off.

I'd pull the servo horn off and check for binding in all the steering linkages. Is your servo old? I've never owned a 1258 but my experience with other servos is they do wear out.

Last weekend in fact I had 2 power HD's slow way down, especially to the left. They were old servos I used in a airplane though, they were cheapy servos. That's a bad thing about planes..need 4 servos for them so it can get expensive.

I'm curious about a (clay) indoor setup as well.

Let me reiterate,

The wheels turn freely, exceptionally fast, but the truck doesn't turn fast? if that makes sense?

I turn the wheel, it turns, but I am waiting for the truck to actually turn? like the truck is understeering?

Oh, well that's a different story, lol. The Tekno's are known for steering a lot (some say too much).

These are just some things I'd try, not saying they're necessarily the right things to do, just what I'd do...thicker rear sway bar, shorter/lower rear camber links, softer front/stiffer rear springs, move battery ahead, and of course tires are crucial. Check out TLR's tuning tips if you haven't already http://www.tlracing.com/ProdInfo/Fil...uning_Tips.pdf

Maybe the servo saver is loose. Also servos can turn fine when in the air but under a load they may bog down. Try sitting the truck on carpet or slightly pushing down on the chassis and turning the wheels and see if they move quickly. Are you running the stock setup?

Is this a new issue or has it been there since a setup change?

It sounds like his truck is pushing. Too much rear traction and too little up front.

Yes but if it's all of a sudden without any setup change then its most likely mechanical like a servo saver/ faulty servo etc.

www.casper-rc.com for our latest indoor clay setup.

For carpet this would be setup change like we make for blue groove. I would go with the 2 hole piston setup and go up 2.5 to 5 wt all around to slow down chassis roll. Lower ride height some and take some droop out. Play with ride height and droop to your liking. Start with lowering 1-2mm all around and taking 1/2 a turn of droop out of the front and 1 full turn of droop out of the rear.

Make sure the servo saver is pretty much cranked down. The kit setup keeps it pretty loose in case of using a weaker servo (strength wise) but most of the time we put in good servo's and more or less lock the servo saver. This should help with steering reaction a lot especially if it is set loose.

Have you tried driving Eric's truck yet? I didn't like it at all. Seems like he is just driving it much harder, which is also why he crashes faster too hahaha.

+1
Your tires wore out? Servo saver tightened up and backed off a turn or 2(as already stated)
