What does everyone think about the new MIP aluminum drive shafts and diffs? I can't post a link yet.

I'm sure from a performance perspective, they will be great and I think they look really good. And MIP always puts out quality products. But with the amount if torque they will be subject to, I'm not certain how long they will last. I'd like to try them to see how they do.

The only down fall I see is the torque issue and the added maintance. It says you need to change pucks every 30 races or packs. Everything I've ever bought from MIP has been top notch though.

These are great units from MIP. I have checked them out on Olsens rig. You would need to be careful to replace the pucks as soon as there is any backlash as that is what would kill the aluminum at that point. As long as you keep the zero backlash, you will be set for a long time to come I think.

Unnecessary IMO. These trucks are way overpowered so to lighten the drivetrain to the point that it spools up faster isnt necessary. I have do e it to an 1/8 buggy and it made it much more difficult to drive. Alum bends and breaks and these trucks take as much if boy more of a beating than a 1/8 buggy. I would rather have it strong than light. Just my opinion

I know what would be even better....how about the center dogbone setup like on the new E 3.0. No CV's.
