I wasn't able to get to the lower front ride height with black springs, but I then changed to blue, and got to 26mm, which is where I liked it.

#3's front and rear, 30 front-27.6 rear for me, and 30/25 for Ryan and Casper.

30/25? a little thin for the heat yes? im running 32/30 in 80-90 degree weather

Not sure, I ran 30/27 at OCRC, which is 80F indoors, but the track was SUPER HIGH GRIP and it wasn't too soft...for me at least. It might be worth trying going down 2.5wt.

I flat out don't believe in running skid plates front or rear - I think they end up doing more harm than good - they are basically bump stops and reduce the effectiveness of your shocks. You want the shocks to absorb as much of the landing as possible before the chassis bottoms out. Skid plates take away from that. Not to mention they will also affect how the truck takes jumps as they will also drag when going up the face.

If you absolutely must have chassi protection use the stick on chassis film. Me - I just go without.

Had a odd breakage on my 2.0 this weekend. The front center driveshaft shattered a crosspin on the second raceday! I thought that this issue would be nulled on this truck with the new layout and less angle on the driveshaft? Could this just be a freak occurance and there is a bad set of pins? Just trying to see how to fix this issue so I do not lose another race weekend.

Pics? What was the weather like? Do spray any kind of cleaner or equivalent on your cars before/after a run, at all?

No it can still happen. Saw a few of these at the SC Nats this weekend. Personally, I haven't had an issue, and I've raced the 2.0 twice a week since March. Anyway - make sure to lock tite the set screw on the pin and grease them up good. I also make sure there's no play in the pinion so that night also contribute to snapping.

Actualy no pics, but the only thing there now is the driveshaft end and the outdrive, rest of the parts are gone and the plastic retainer is still in place. No cleaners as of yet, still has that new smell on it and dusty track so air takes it away. I had a simmilar issue with the 1.0, but that was due to wear. Might have to go tekno and get new center shafts which was my last fix.

It happens sometimes. Freak occurrence and I wouldn't read too much into it. I have never broken a pin on this truck, nor any other car I have ever owned for that matter. Came close with the Ve8, as the pin was getting chewed up pretty well after a while.

what do you do to get the slop out of the front end? are the steering racks the same in the 1.0 and 2.0?
