[QUOTE=Casper;12289964]For med to low bite that is a good diff setup. We have been testing higher diff fluids (7-7-5) but have been running on some really high bite lately. 5-7-5 has been what we were running the the latest posted setup.

You put shims between the diff case and the left side bearing to shim the rear diff closer to the pinion gear but make sure there is still some play as you don't want to shim too tight which is bad as well.

Ryan and I are both running the RX8 Gen 2 in our trucks and we love it.[/QUOTE

Thanks Casper!

Hmmm..
when it`s apart and sitting in your hand place it in the diff housing and check it that way and if you did already try that and nada, then something is not right for sure.May need a new housing ? Def not the norm for this!!! If You can pinpoint something that is wrong Horizon may just send you some new parts.

It comes with 12g wire that should reach. But the sensor wire that comes with the motor will not work.( too short)

Depending on your Batt. you will need Deans or 4mm Bullet conectors.
60/40 Solder, Flux, a good solder iron.
Some 2 sided tape.
Make sure you have a sensor wire to reach (270mm)
14 T Pinion
Go have fun

I have been using the protek solid bullets. They work well. Just make sure t's a solid type bullet and not the umbrella type.

On that list above I would suggest to use the kyosho zeal mounting gel [KYOZ8006]. Since I have been using this stuff I have had no issues with the rx8's

I've never tried the TQ ones. I use the protec 4mm bullets. Seem to work fine. I use the "stand up" ones as they're easier to pull out. Never had a problem spreading them out if they get a little loose.

On the topic of bullets, HOLY TIGHT wad batman,

Protek 5mm's can pick up 2X the trucks weight before the bullets pull out.

I hope other battery mfg's pick up on that and Go 5mm.

yeah, only a couple use 5mm. I will look into the proteks. The TQ ones were so loose, I turned over the battery and they fell out.
