Contact Horizon and they can send you out some replacements. The first batch kits the caps had bad threads.

Some where on the first thread in the build tips it talked about the bottom caps having some srinkage when they came out of mold and told how to get them to work if you didnt want to wait on replacements.
Screw the bottom cap on as tight as you can with fingers. Then put the aluminium top on. Using the shock tool that comes with the kit that tightens the top and a pair of pliers on bottom cap spin shock assembly till bottom cap seats. Then using both shock tools to untighten shock cap and finish build.

Anyone run a bit less rear antisquat for looser bumpy tracks? Work good?

Congrats on your win! I too have just purchased a 2.0 and waiting to build it once my gen2 RX8 comes in (on back order). Once built, can't wait to tu e and race it
Btw, what pinion are you running on that track, how long was the main, and what were your temps? Kinda new to sct racing and trying to soak up info and comparisons...

Thanks. I was running a 15 tooth pinion and the main was 7 minutes. The motor temped at 135 at the end. Keep in mind I am running the FTW carbon fiber fan mount and fan on my motor though, so that helps keep the temps down.

The rest of the electric mains were 10 minutes, but they shortened the 4x4SC main to 7 minutes because guys were worried they couldn't last 10.

Awww, thats always a bummer when that happens. Should be able to make 10 minutes with one of these no problem.

Having problems building the shocks. I have always sucked at this. In regards to the emulsion caps with the bleeding screws. I followed the directions on a Youtube video, but the shocks never come out right for me. I'll compress the shaft all the way up, some oil comes out, then put the bleed screw into the cap. I pull the shaft all the way down, then it gets sucked back up on it's own. What causes this? I followed the bleed instructions exactly, but it doesn't work for me. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, 10 minutes is no problem with my setup, but oh well, majority ruled on that one.

With an emulsion shock you have to let the shock suck some air. You are creating a vaccum in the shock when you push the shaft all the way up to displace the oil and then seal it off. Stroke the shock back and forth a few times and it should normalize. A little suck back is not bad as well as a touch of rebound. It is the shock trying to normalize itself.
