Default Body Work

Finally finished painting my 2.0 body. Thought I'd share. Went with a Skeletor Theme.

looking to buy the new 2.0 and I have never built a kit before. Am I jumping in the deep end? Should I stay away or go for it?

I would say that a kit is the way to go the build will let u get to know the in's and out's of your truck so u will know how to fix when u break or wear out parts. Yes the build will take time but when you are all done u will fell a since of pride knowing that u did not just buy rtr and install a battery. Also u get to put the electronics of your choosing. So I say go for it!!!

I am a complete novice. I bought the 1.0 RTR this year. It was immediately 'adopted' by my son (aged 8) also a total novice. We started to build the 2.0 kit yesterday (hopefully for me).

The kit is superb. Everything is bagged and relatively easy to identify even for first time builders like us. Build threads on this forum have proved invaluable as they contain lots of tips and advice.

The product quality is amazing. The only complaint so far is the tiny heads on the differential screws. We have swapped these for bigger ones.

Building the kit is giving us an insight into the mechanics of RC vehicles. It could not have been a better decision.

I am hugely impressed by the thought put into this kit by the designers and the quality control.

Just finished building mine yesterday, ended up going with a orion r10 pro 160amp ESC and a pro4 HD 4 pole 4300kv tekin motor. Man is she speedy! If any of u have not tried an orion speedo. Well, your missing out. Smoothest one I've ever had.

Did you just throw the esc in the kit Box stock or do an update on the ESC 1st. I am considering using an R10 160 as well.

Updated the ESC with the 4 pole software. That's a must. My program box would not work until I unplugged the sensor wire in the motor. FYI. U will love the smoothness of orion. Everything else sucks. There's a reason they cost what they do. One quick question. Stock 40 spur, what pinion should I be using? Was thinking 15T? My setup is in my signature

Are these 4wd better suited for a 540 motor or a 550 motor?

Sorry I can't help there. I am going to run one next indoor season. The plan is to run a vortex at the moment. Haven't bought the kit yet.
