Is Losi sending out replacement parts for the shock bottoms yet or just taking your information for when the corrected ones become avail?

Dont bother not needed really no issue
The tape will just be a ball of goo with dirt stuck to it after a run or two.

Yes I already got my replacements 2 weeks ago.

It all depends on the level of the event, and your regional ROAR staff. At National events, sure, they have to. At local events there are discretionary enforcements. The reality is that you want to be as compliant as possible. If you have a question, reach out to your regional ROAR team to get answers.

Otherwise, the best answer is 'it depends'.

Casper, I called horizon over two weeks ago to get the shock caps and a sway bar link that was missing from my kit. They said it would ship in a couple days. Still haven't received them. Are they out of stock or what's the issue? Getting tired of having to use pliers to take my shocks apart.

How many times do you have to take your shocks apart?

I would call them again. I know the lower cap came in stock. They are pretty good about that stuff usually though.

I second the question. I can't believe you have enough run time on the shocks to require access to the bottom end. Those o-rings should last a LONG time.

I take them apart every couple of race days to clean them.

Well, I'm not going to argue against preventative maintenance.

I've only changed my shock oil 3-4 times since the truck came out and even then it was crystal clear. These O Rings work. I spray out the whole thing with motor spray and get all the crud off, but I'll only touch the bottom cap when I change the O Ring - which I only did 1-2 times in 1.5 years running the 1.0.

Anyway - you're mileage may vary. Call up customer service again. Make sure you talk to Cali - they send out a little Baggie with just shock bottoms. It's the insert Baggie for the kits "use this instead of bag E" or whatever.

I would call and use the call back function and ask them. We have them all in stock. And how often are you having to remove these, I maybe put new O-rings in every 6 months, lol.

Either there was a running change to the manual or you used different mounting holes for the inboard side of the links than was stated in the manual.
Really no big deal just get out the tool and start cranking until it look right.
ours were within a turn of the turnbuckle from being perfect.
I used the inside bottem tower holes on front, after I redid to the picture length they look more correct for a baseline for me to use now, I just thought it was crazy how they came out following the Millimeter instructions. Now my rear look like maybe only 1 deg or less and front look to be slightly camber out.

I went to a small event about a month ago and there was a mugen eco converted to sc. He was using a tekin 1900/rx8 and 4s. Sure he was killing everyone! I didn't raced sc that day. If I were racing I would be that guy complaining LOL
So to my point, sometimes rules are there to help...

if your good with the diffs just make sure you put the side guards on right...alot of people havent payed attention to help guide done by Ryan to where the side guards are side specific so the side with the taller inside(closest to the chassis) goes to the battery side to help support the battery and not fall out and the lower side goes on the other side and allows for the motor mount to slide
