Just giving my honest opinion:

Today I tried 3 different brand new lipos. Gens Ace 7000mah 50C , Glacier 5000mah 55C and Pro-Match 6000mah 60C
Of course the 7k mah had longer run time but in performance is a tie between this one and the Glacier (from epbuddy). The Pro-Match is ok but it took a lot to balance and I had to cut a little on the sides of the stock battery strap.
Time will tell which one is the winner but for punch I preffer the Glacier!

How much do those run. I've been using cheapo 5000mah 20c dynamite reaction packs getting about 17mins. The punch leaves a little to desire but for $25 they make great practice batteries.

You are getting 17 mins with a 20c battery??????Either that is some very good batts or you are just cruising around the track.Which is it???????

On another note just picked up a 2.0 roller for way too cheap......
Time to clean House............

Value Hobby sells their 5900 60c for $37 with the deans installed. I am using these and they have plenty of punch.

With the 7k well over 12 minutes solid on a 1/8 track and chasing a nitro buggy and a truggy. They pit once and I waited for them and went again racing with them. That's with tekin 4600kv/ rx8 & 14t pinion. Temps were below 160
I don't know how you race but 20c gotta be super slowww

Depending on your budget. I have a ballistic 4.5 with timing And a 13t with an rx8+ boost. Pass everyone on the track on the straights. 6min main still has 6.97v coming off the track and ran a few practice laps. I also run geese not fluid diffs. Meaning more drag. I run thunder power 5300 65c. Worth every dollar spent. I've ran nano techs, hobby people and reedys and the thunder power delivers 100% till the lvc hits. Just my .02

Hmmm ... I got 4th in our last a-main which was my 1st race ever. Louperez can back me up. I start the timer in my dx2s everytime I get to the driver stand and was getting and average of around 17mins. Def not cruising... I think we were turning decent laps.

I'm running a mmp w/ 3800k 1410 motor

Temps were about 150 on motor 109 on Esc and 109 on battery.

Like I said I ran my qualifiers with Lou's 60c batteries and def noticed and increase in punch.

Well, slow is faster sometimes lol
I could gear the 3800 up to 15t with not much difference in temps. Give a try with a higher c rating. For me, on 1/8th tracks I couldn't keep up using the 3800

I'm running a 14t right now and anymore too end would be pointless for the tight high grip tracks I run at and my driving skill. You are right slower is sometimes faster. I do want to pick up a sensored motor (pro4hd 4300 say whaaaaat?) hah

Another note on the 2.0 kit w/ Ti screws is that they fit much better on the bottom of the chassis than the stock screws. I know someone else mentioned the stock screws not fitting flush
Yep, that was me!

Had the 2.0 on the track for the first time yesterday. The good, it flys a bit more level than the 1.0, takes the bumps and jumps predictable and I can put it wherever I want in the corners. The bad, I lost a pin on the rear drive shaft (1.0 had the same low occurrence issue) that keys into the out drive and found out the screws that go thru the front tie rods into the spindles don't quite reach the nylock (1.0 is same way just never noticed) as a result lost a screw in a qual. No biggie, I will call Horizon today about the drive shaft and get some lower shock caps while I am at it. I absolutely love the truck!
