Should have my kit this week and want to do build all at once, as I'm still waiting on rx8 to be in stock, how are the Hobbywing 4700kv setup? Does it get hot easy? Overkill? My tracks all very some long straights some short

What pistons do run? Have you at Avid tested some tapered 1.32mm x 2 pistons?

I felt there was to much mud/dirt on my receiver so I made this mud deflector out of a buggy wing I had laying around.

Car looks good if you don't mind me asking how do you like the schuurspeed motor? Also what Esc are you running? Thanks for your time, really like the deflector may build something similar on mine

I really like the schuur speed its smooth powerful lots of top end and doesn't give up any low end grunt compared to the tekin 4600 I was running.I feel that the schuur speed 4800 has slightly less power than HW4700 & Revtec 4800 but more than HW4000 & tekin 4600 kinda middle of the pack for 4x4 SC motors.

I am running a Brushless Hobbies (120)LT4 Esc. I have also ran the hobbywing sct-pro with the schuur speed but I really like the BH.

If you like the way the 1.0 drives than just get the MIP kit its similar to the 2.0.

So I have a question that may have been answered. The black plastic peices that screw onto the bottom of the shock body just will not thread flush with the shock body. I have got them within two turns but the more I crank on them the more the pliers mangle them. Any ideas?

Also my kit came with a light tan bag of grease instead of the black grease bottle stated in tbe instructions. I assume this ok?

The tan grease is great for lubing the metal to metal gears in the diff housings. (pinion and crown gears) Black grease works as well.

It is a pain to get the bottom shock caps on all the way. Do you best and request some from CS once the replacements arrive.

I have not. We hope to have some of the 2 hole postons very soon. As soon as we get them I'll be testing them. I'll post up my setup once I've tested them.

Got my first race on this truck this weekend. With the kit setup and some other small tweaks and changes this truck was quite dialed for first run out. I'm very happy with the product. Good job TLR, can't wait to continue working with this baby!
