[QUOTE=TCCustoms;11984840]Take the diff out and set the outdrive in something and spin it and see if oyu have your screws tight to where the ring gear might not be down on the diff case or do as some and grind out the diff housing if its rubbing on that

I seem to remember that when I held the cases together with my fingers it spun freely. I'm thinking I will try using a (c-clamp) or something else to hold it together with force. If it still spins freely then; it "could'' indicate the screw holes in the cases are not lining up perfectly, causing a bit of distortion when the screws are ran in. Someone else mentioned this a page or so back. It makes sence to me!

This may have been asked before, but to my understanding the new 2.0 parts/components did not ship with the 2.0 kits... Correct?

That sucks a lot...

When can we expect the 2.0 parts/components to be available for purchase? Buddy of mine already broke a 2.0-specific part, and now he's up shits-creek until they become available... lol

Default King Headz 2.0

King Headz 2.0

I did this myself, but maybe this is the first wave of copy cats? Battery has been flipped forever, but I just did the drivetrain mod a few days ago. Spins real free the way it's lined up - will get a chance to run it this Saturday!

So far the only upgrades I wanna to the 2.0 is an aluminum center diff mount (for the plastic one). As well as a carbon center diff plate.

Who makes these with in reasonable cosT?

Center diff mount and/or the motor/diff mount, I'd ONLY go for the King Headz... The reason being is that the aluminum used is MUCH higher grade than the STRC brand, plus it uses dual bearings for MUCH better support of the outdrive, to prevent ANY and all wobble. Trust me.. A friend of mine bought the STRC one, the same time I bought my King Headz, and he's already had to replace his bearing and outdrive twice, and now looking into getting the King Headz one.

Oh and btw, no nobody has stock of the 2.0 components yet. Horizon still shows backorder and A Main doesn't even have them in their system yet....

Is the aluminum centre mount needed or just a bling thing?

Yes the kingz head stuff works on the 2.0. But why would you want the center diff top plate do you need to add weight? The motor mount and the front center diff mount are good because they stop the wobble of the out drives.

I bought a couple spare 80mm torque rods on eBay as I figured that is what would be the most common critical 2.0 specific part to break.

That would be more simliar to the weight distribution of the MIP truck.

Layout is one thing, but weight distribution is another. Weight distribution is why we play with layout and why the SCTE 2.0 works so well. We spent numerous days and weeks testing to get this optimal and adjustable for different surfaces.

Its really the rod ends that can sometimes break and really that only happens if the setscrews are not first screwed into the plastic all the way which leaves abotu 7mm to threadlock into the metal tube then. And those ends are the same as LOSA6044.
