If anyone is looking there's a few rx8s on ebay from nitrohobbies, also I saw a post not too long ago and it was someone selling a white rx8 but I can't find it, I believe it was for sale on a website not a private seller anyone know about this?

Nope. But they can help you here. I'd suggest starting off with a JR Mitch or Frank Root standard setup.

Lets change it to better than average drivers then!
I drove a 2.0 and it feels very familiar,My 1.0 is very dialed and I could feel the advantages of the 2.0 but not day and night difference.Average drivers lowering times by 1.0 will make them faster by a sec not the fastest guy at the track LOL..I see your point. Hopefully the 2.0 turns every body into a faster driver...

There are two guys running them at our track one in a 1.0 and the other with associated sc104x4.
The motor seems to go very well and it runs cooler than my Tekin.
Is it kinda like a MOPED no one on here will admit to using one?
I know its sensorless etc, BUT its more than $100.00 less than the RX8 pro4.
AND its in stock.
I know rumor has it theres a new RX8 on the horizon, but the snows melting and he wants to pull the trigger on new electronics to be ready NOW.

Im gonna get me a new pro 4 for mine my RX8s are all still good
That combo had major brown out issues and required a monster bec and didn't always stop it, had it in ofna hyper tt
Bottom line, you get what u pay for. I do see most pros running none 4 pole motors/550

I have had great luck with my Pro4 4600. I usually have it backed down to about 80%

I really want to try out the new Pro4HD!

I know how to set toe lol. I was just asking quick I was about to go to the track, and didnt have time to set it up. Thought I could quickly mesure with my calipers. I eyed it and shes good.

On another note. I had a tekno and drove it a few times, Dont get me wrong its a amazing truck but just wasnt me. I took this out today and WOW it was dialed with kit settings and worked awsome for me. Much better then the tekno for my driving style. Truck worked absolutly amazing!!

Hobbywing SCT Pro and HW 4000 or 4700kv motor combo is awesome and less than the RX8 on its own and it comes with a programming card. IF you want that hard punch on take off the 4700 is the ticket

Still not HW's fault...Tekins are noisy as stated and will interfere with almost all ESCs

Correct, but if you read what he said...he said "I do see most pros running none 4 pole motors/550"

I kno, right, lol! I love that the truck comes in such a small box you wouldnt even think its a 4wd SC truck but i guess when you dont get a body or rims i guess you can get it in that small of a box, lol!

I would like to see one run but with no big parts support around here my LHS cant seem to sell the (2) SCT410's he has

Went to the track (rcexcitement Fitchburg, MA) this weekend and there was a big race with tons of reps all set up. I started talking to the TLR team drivers and Anthony Mazzara who I believe won the A Main with his 2.0 scte was great with set up help for me. He found I had my rear sway bar was to tight causing me some ride height and other issues. Anthony and Matt Castellano took the time to talk and help me out, What Awesome support and professional Reps of team Losi Racing. Thanks so much.

Wouldn't the 4000kv have more punch over the 4700kv?
