build question for my "$40" kit axial exo terra
idk if this is the right place, but i looked a little so here goes
as the title says, i have through trading, acquired a exo kit for the lovable price of 40 cash , if people want to know ill post how i ended up with it later on, but for now i have a question, i have acquired 2 brush less motors, a 2s Turnegy 5.0 lipo, and a venilion vxl3s esc for the lovable price of free. now i was a king of brushed and am sadly far outside my element. so i need help in determining witch motor to install. how to install it, and what gearing i should use.
motors
DTX by castle, 2s 4 pole 3900kv
novak velociti 3.5r censored
current pinions i have are a 12t, 2 16t, and a 18t
spurs i have are a 48t, 50t, 52t, and a 54t
btw a axial exo has a center diff, idk if that is helpful or not, also just rebuilt all 3 diffs, so any help would be appreciated!

so i decided on the dtx 3900kv, and put an 18t pinion and a 54t spur, and decided it was time for a trial run. since i was using my other battery (a 3300 mah nimh pack) i gave her a trial run, witch ended in diasater. the front dogbone shot out on a turn.........so sad. i recoverd said dogbone, and decided to return to post results.
on a 18t pinion i found that she was having a hard time getting up and going. a very fast little wonder(about 15) though i was only half throttle. so i might go through the ardous task of replacing the pinion gear with either a 16 or a 14. hopefully fixs the hard time getting going. though i know little of gear ratios so please tell me if i am making a mistake!
thanks in advance
