bad fuel

today I was having all kinds of trouble keeping an engine running.
Its a hotbodies .26 and I was finishing up the break in tanks.
I could get it started but giving it any throttle at all would kill it.
I tried the glow plug, leaning it out a little, putting sittings back to factory and nothing seemed to work.. finally after quite a while fighting with it I dumped out the fuel that was in the tank and luckily had an unopened quart.. the engine fired right up and kept running no problem..

now on to the point..
I opened the quart I was originally using about a week ago and stored it like I have always done.. (I just keep it in a bedroom)
any reason why it would have gone bad so fast??
or maybe it already had some moisture in it when I got it..
odonnel 20% is what I use..

I've never had it go bad that fast. I always squeeze the air out, then put a heavy mil plastic over the opening before capping it off.

I've never had any go bad that fast either.. thats why I was thinking maybe it was starting to go bad when I got it..

anybody know of a way to test fuel for moisture?

I think I may have figured out where the moisture is coming from.
today I was doing a last couple break in tanks where I would let the engine cool in between..
on the third tank I started having the same problems as before and I noticed moisture or condensation in the line that runs from the exhaust to the tank.. it is clear fuel line so it was easy to see..

whats the reason and how do I stop it from happening?

thanks..
