Default HITEC Servos???

What's Up All,
Back in the day, and I do mean back in the day, we all kind of had a prejudice against Hitecs for steering because everyone thought there might be issues with centering. This was all rumor and reputation. I used them all the time for throttle but stayed away for steering.
Can anyone share their experiences with them for steering as I'm interested and there is no argueing they come in at a good price point. I'm considering the MG7965 for steering on an electice 2WD buggy.

Any input is appreciated!!!

Kevin

I have four of them in different 1/12th cars and never had any issues. I have recommended to some of the other local guys and several run them also no problems.

I as well as most all of my team mates run Hitec servos in various 10th and
8th scale applications.
Never had any problems with any in throttle or steering applications as far as centering goes.

They are great. I don't know about back in the days, but I've been using them since 2004-2005, and they seem to be solid.

I actually use 48 645MG servos for my robotics, and I still have 6 spares that I'm trying to figure out what to do with (use them in robotics or just throw them into my cars...)

Im not sure while i agree Hitec servos are pretty relible the cheaper diginal ones they have like the 7954SH model it would never center right even when i rebuildt it without a good amount of sub trim . And i may be crazy but they lack the steering throw of the other brand servos ive ran.

Now on the more expensive Hitec servos there likely better on them issues.
