I think you'll find that V3_110930_MOD software was released towards the end of 2011. The software picture you've referenced is from the V3 user interface (not to be confused with the V3 software refrence or the V3 speedy) which is much newer.
Are you using the LCD programmer or the LED programmer? You need the LCD programmer to update the firmware for both the programmer and the speedy.
Try doing all your updates to the speedy and programmer and then try again. Your 3300Kv motor will need some boost or it won't perform very well as it is a low power motor. 3300 * 7.4 = 24,420 max RPM.

I went and clicked esc on the device them chose the stock software then pressed send to esc. Is that right? is the difference noticeable between boost and non boost?
#5
do you have to have sensor in it to make it work?

Yes, everything about variable timing is based around sensored motors. None of it works unsensored.
There is a hobbywing thread that most people ask and get all of their answers in so you might want to try there for more info. http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...-off-road.html

No boost or turbo on any Hobbywing ESC except the new V3 HARDWARE.
Unless you have this ESC:
No boost or turbo settings.
Unless we can put the firmware from that ESC on the V2s... Which would be news to me.

Can run boost on my HW v2.1 60A ESC too.
or blinky, or a mod profile, I love these things.

hmmm.... when I hooked up to the esc with the laptop I only had a couple of firmware options. This was on a Xerun 150. Need to dig around a little more I guess.
Wish these things had a current limiter.
