Default Never have the right screws when i need them

Hey everyone i am just getting started in racing . I built my self a team c buggy and i am still learning how to drive it so yes it breaks. My problem is my local hobby shop never has the screws i need so i have to go and ask all the racers if i can borrow a screw. Do they make screw kits for team c with out spending a arm and a leg .

Stock up on screws.

Your local track can order them, ebay, amain, fastenal, mcmaster, etc.

Maybe try Tony’s Screws. I don’t see a kit for that car, but they might make one up, check the Contact Us page.

They are good quality screws, well organized in bags and labeled. Maybe not as cheap per screw as buying in bulk, but it’s likely cheaper to get all the different screws needed.

Where is your local track? "husker"dude makes me think you're in Nebraska. If so and if you're close to Omaha, check out HobbyTown on the North side of town. Besides the various chassis specific hardware kits, there's a whole aisle just for miscellaneous hardware.

$2-3 for 20?

I paid $3.50 for 100 M3x8mm button head at fastenel.

I most RC size screws are less then $5 for 100. Any screws bigger than M3x 8mm you can get in counts as little as 25.

BoltDepot.com I have at times prices screw sets cheaper bought and shipped than most places.

for example it could be 10 cents per screw, but if you buy a pack of 100 comes to 5 cents per screw.

Default screws

If you have a local fastenal they'd be cheapest. Usually they will order them by the piece if you like.

I went on their site, found what i wanted and printed up a list and took it to my local fastenal and they ordered it for me.

Took a few days but didn't have to pay any shipping or anything other than the sales tax.

Best thing is they have standard and metric as well as whatever head type you need. Black oxide, stainless, zinc or whatever you want.

Any RC specific screw set usually is xtra $. Also might want to check out your local Ace or True value hardware store. They also have some stuff, except for the really really small stuff. Not as wide a selection as Fastenal.

+1 on fastenal. A long time ago I put together a tray of screws that had all different sizes of cap head and cone head metric screws. One of the best things in RC I ever did. Note: Don't waste your money (or much of it) on button head screws. Around 99% of button head screws can be replaced with far superior cap head screws.

E Z P Z
Buy yourself some more cars
Save every screw from every kit you ever get.
It's like those hot sauce packets from the drive throughs.
You'll have a full assortment in no time.
