The GT if you do the T4 parts mods I hear is pretty good on hardpacked surfaces. Without them the GT is more in its element in loamy conditions.
I personally would hold off and see what comes out from AE, lots of people are wanting a new GT, I hope they don't dissapoint again, at least release some sort of upgrade kit or even a parts and conversion list to do the T4 conversion that there team drivers are using.

I wouldn't count on a new GT being released. That's been talked and rumored about forever. The front and rear mods are sold as a kit at Cresenzi Racing
Also there you'll find a link to the GT forums. It's one of the best single vehicle and easy to navigate forums you'll find.

The shocks are the same in length as the rc 10, but are twice as thick (round)...According to R/C driver, traxxas is trying to get ROAR to be a little more ?lenient? or to change their rules, b/c MOST RTR ST's come with a .15 or larger .18--evader, and They want it to change so MOST RTR's are indeed ROAR legal....
It is a clever statement.....IMO.

For what reason? So the trucks designed for bashing can go and play with the race trucks? Or so that a two wheel drive vehicle that will already have traction problems can have even more? The companies should all just sell rtr's as well as kits. That way the racers don't have to sell the stuff that comes on the trucks and then buy what a racer really needs in the first place. I'm not bashing rtr's either, they get a ton of people into the hobby. And make ebay a busy place. lol

it isn't really designed for bashing....it is made for racing, it really isn't aukward that it isn't ROAR legal most RTR's arent. I feel the same way....I hat buying a POS radio when I have a 3 channel futaba synthesised sitting right nest to it!?!

I hope people do race it and that it's a good racer. Be nice to see other vehicles out there and draw more people to the class. I would like to see more duratrax trucks. I believe those could be comptetitive also. I think the Jato will draw some people to buy it just with it's 1/8 scale looks alone. Be neat to see one this summer.

That stupid EZ start system AGAIN!? If Traxxas wants to be serious about racing this thing they need to start ditching these newb features and selling kits.
