SC parts differences.doc
Here's an attached list of the parts differences between the buggy and the SC. The parts I highlighted in blue are the minimum you would need to be race legal if you are converting from the buggy to the truck.

EDIT- 12/19/12 - attachment updated.

Since it can use the same chassis, why are the center drive shafts required to be different from the buggy to be ROAR legal? Can't the drive line be the same up until the dogbones in each arm (or at least to the outdrives for them)?

Center shafts on the truck are lighter components. They are just trying to keep the weight down and the SC trucks on 2S don't need the big shafts the 1/8 buggies need.

I think that non milled 7075 chassis will be great in the SCT to help keep weight down low and balance the high up weight of the Body. Speaking of which, I have 3 bodies to paint for this thing. Better get to work

That's no joke. I had one really nasty crash that caused me to bend the front center Tekno shaft, but it also bent the chassis. I straightened that shaft back out and am still running it with no issues.

I used to go through the SCTE's drive shafts and CVD's often (roughly 1 failure every 3-4 race days). I race 2-3 times a week and it has been about 4 months since I dropped in the Tekno shafts on my SCTE and they're still in just about perfect shape.

Yes, I drive way overpowered...so much fun. :-D

The expected release date still january? I am keeping my eye on this truck, because the others on the market are to faulty for my liking. I know that techno has a really good reputation for racing quality. And the price is not too bad.
